How to Speed up utorrent to download up to 10x speed

Hello geeks, today post is on most discussed topic that is How to speed up torrent .Lot of people ask me How to speed up utorrent ?  or How to Hack utorrent downloading  speed .So I decided to post a solution for this slow speed torrent download . I personally tried this and seen drastic changes in downloading speed .In previous post i told you how to downlaod torrent with IDM but this time downloading torrent files using utorrent client will be fast be as like IDM downloading speed.

What is utorrent client ?

uTorrent is a freeware BitTorrent client owned and developed byBitTorrent the program was designed to use minimal computer resources while offering functionality comparable to larger BitTorrent clients such as Vuze or BitComet. utorrent is build to download torrent files , torrent files name end  with  .torrent extension.

How to speed up torrent : Requirements 

• Download torrent download client from here .

How to Speed Up utorrent

Step 1 – Click on options –>preferences –>  Connections . Now set “Port used for incoming connections” value  any between 45000 to 49000 and check on –

• Enable UPnP port mapping .
• Enable NAT-PMP port mapping .
• Add Windows Firewall exception
  

Step 2 – Now goto BitTorrent option just below of connection .At last you will see Protocol Encryption ,set it to Enabled,and make sure that “Allow incoming connections” is checked

  

Step 4 – Number of Connections – Set  “Global Max number of connections” to 2500 and  “Max number of connected peers per torrent”  to 500.

These are the settings which will  speed up utorrent by  a significant amount. At this point of time you will start seeing a significant difference in the speed.

Step 5 – Now goto Advanced Settings in preferences and do some changes –
“bt.allow_same_ip” should be set to “True” by clicking on it and setting the value to true.
“gui.show_notorrents_node” should be set  to “False” .
“rss.update_interval” should be set to ‘20‘

Advanced Settings of utorrent

Apply and close Advanced settings.

Step 6 – Restart uTorrent.Congratulation! Your utorrent is now fully optimized for speed and now enjoy the new speed.If this does not work for you then you can jump back to default settings.
